The RISE-Open Project Presented at the Conference “The Future of Open Research: Reliable, Responsible, Equitable”
From 4 to 6 May 2026, the research team of the RISE-Open project (NIP.UKIM.24-25.16), Prof. Dr Katerina Naumova, Assist. MSc Vaska Leshoska, and MSc Daniela Nedelkova, participated in the international conference The Future of Open Research: Reliable, Responsible, Equitable, organised by the Technical University of Munich.
The conference brought together researchers, activists, and policymakers with the shared aim of advancing open research practices explicitly oriented towards the public interest. In this context, different understandings of what constitutes the “public interest” for different communities and social contexts around the world were also examined. A central place in the discussions was given to the development of the Munich Manifesto for Equitable Open Research, which elaborates on the ways in which open research can contribute to more reliable, responsible, and equitable forms of scientific practice.
As part of the Infrastructure session, the presentation titled “RISE-Open: Building a Repository of Psychological Instruments and Fostering a Culture of Open Science in North Macedonia” presented the project activities aimed at developing the first central repository of psychological instruments developed or adapted in the Macedonian language (https://osf.io/fnq5s), as well as at encouraging the preregistration of research and open science practices among young and future researchers in the field of psychology.
