Why the Centre was founded?
Open Science is essential for advancing knowledge, improving research transparency, fostering collaboration, and maximizing the societal impact of research. The Open Science Centre was founded to accelerate the adoption of Open Science principles at UKIM, providing researchers and students with the support needed to embrace a new era of research practice.

Key Principles We Promote
The Centre operates through education, support services, strategic development, international cooperation, and capacity building across all faculties and institutes at UKIM. Governance
The Open Science Centre is governed in accordance with an official act adopted by the University Senate. The Centre operates under the direction of a Coordinator and a Management Board, which includes representatives from university units engaged in research, education, and innovation.
