The Open Science Centre at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is dedicated to promoting transparency, collaboration, and innovation in scientific and artistic research. Established to align with global trends and European policies, the Centre serves as a hub for fostering Open Science practices across the University.

Why the Centre was founded?

Open Science is essential for advancing knowledge, improving research transparency, fostering collaboration, and maximizing the societal impact of research. The Open Science Centre was founded to accelerate the adoption of Open Science principles at UKIM, providing researchers and students with the support needed to embrace a new era of research practice.

Key Principles We Promote

The Centre operates through education, support services, strategic development, international cooperation, and capacity building across all faculties and institutes at UKIM. Through collaboration and expertise sharing, we aim to transform scientific culture and strengthen UKIM’s leadership in Open Science initiatives.

Governance

The Open Science Centre is governed in accordance with an official act adopted by the University Senate. The Centre operates under the direction of a Coordinator and a Management Board, which includes representatives from university units engaged in research, education, and innovation.
